The grant is for a food production involving the 100 pre-school and 150 Kindergarten to 6th grade students, families, and residents in the Wynnefield Heights neighborhood. Materials purchased with this grant will be 80 different seed varieties, seed starting materials, potting mixture, stakes for growing/supporting tomatoes and peppers, and soil amendments to enrich the soil. The goal of the grant is to assist in the education of growing and preparing healthy food.
