PCGCA Joint Meeting 2022

The PCGCA Joint Meeting, hosted this year by, Huntingdon Valley Garden Club, was held at the Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne, PA on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.   The meeting included a brief report from Susan Ayres, Chairman of PCGCA followed by the presentation of the Zone V Dorothy Falcon Platt Award (Garden Club of Philadelphia) to Lura Wampler (The Garden Workers).  Ginnie Tietjens (HVGC) then presented an extremely generous check to the PCGCA Fertilizer Fund as a result of the tremendously successful Wabi Sabi flower show last May, a collaborative effort by Huntingdon Valley and Wissahickon Garden clubs.

Sarah Ghantous, President of HVGC then introduced the featured speaker, Karen Washington, a farmer and  food activist, who challenged us in many ways to correct food apartheid.
