A Fertilizer Fund Grant and/or The Wabi-Sabi Grant

All applicant organizations must possess current registration as a 501 C 3 not-for-profit organization, and all projects must be charitable organizations located within the boundaries of the City of Philadelphia.

Fertilizer Fund Grants are smaller grants ranging from $500 - $5,000 and fill a much- needed niche by providing supplemental funds or seed money to small neighborhood projects or to larger landmark projects.

All grants are exclusive to horticulture; supporting plants and planting material intended for food production, conservation, historic preservation, community enrichment, wellness and horticulture education for all, including adults and young children.

Grants do not fund institutional overhead, salaries, labor for installation /maintenance or hardscaping.

Wabi-Sabi Grant

PCGCA has been the recipient of a very generous and special gift of $23,586 resulting from a Wabi-Sabi fundraiser event hosted by two of our member clubs.

The intention is to use this one-time gift to fund one or possibly two special projects. An application for the Wabi-Sabi grant may be submitted in addition to an application for a traditional Fertilizer Fund grant.

The grant is exclusive to horticulture; supporting plants and planting material intended for food production, conservation, historic preservation, community enrichment, wellness and horticulture education for all, including adults and young children.

This grant will not fund institutional overhead, salaries, labor for installation or maintenance, but may include some hardscaping (e.g. paths) or garden/landscape structures (e.g. benches).

Applications will be accepted for the coming year until February 1, 2023

If applying for the Wabi-Sabi Grant, please clearly state so on the application.
